And here are a couple of comments from respondents who have very clear ideas about the judicial system. Could they be right?

I am tempted to believe that some criminal elements have infiltrated our law system in order to better their own ends. My thoughts are that should a highly organised criminal ring such as paedaphiles for example who come from all walks of life and intelligence decide to infiltrate our law system at the top then they can stop any laws from being passed that will deter the criminal activities of their particular sector of our society. Given that we are not doing anywhere near enough to stamp out such crimes it does imply to me that such is the case and we need to thoroughly investigate our law lords. I would also like to see capital and corporal punishment brought back where absolute evidence including DNA evidence is undisputable as this would rid society of it's worst elements once and for all rather than molicoddle them as we do now!

The law needs changing concerning human rights and violent criminals. This law should only apply to protecting the victims not the criminals. Criminals have renounced their human right by committing violent crime. Also there is a moral question here concerning lawyers making money out of getting criminals released or off crime who were clearly guilty and who simply go back to commit similar types of crime again. Do we want a sector of our society 'respectably' making expensive fees from crime - there is collusion with a criminal after he has committed a crime. Its difficult but I hope I have made my point understandable.
