I was unable to find an NHS dentist in my area and in consequence I was forced to attend privately. Fortunately, my teeth are in pretty good shape but I dread what the cost would be if they should suddenly deteriorate. Mind you, I have already reduced the number of visits that I make because of this and that may well prove to be false economy!

My father-in-law recently underwent a heart operation which was very serious. He contracted MRSA at the hospital and they stupidly transferred him to another hospital to be treated because they needed the bed urgently. Where is the sense in that! The virus caused complications to the original surgery and he is now waiting for a follow-up operation to put things right and so we are almost back to square one. And the government have the cheek to say that the NHS is definitely improving. What planet are they on?
