Whilst Tony Blair has distanced himself from the British political arena, there are many who believe that he will continue to undermine the efforts of Gordon Brown who is trying to establish himself as the new British Prime Minister.

I did not vote & neither did anyone else for GB. So why should he be allowed to run this so called DEMOCRATIC country.

And the following are a just a sample of views from our respondents .........

Tony Blair, his "yes Men" and his wife would have dearly loved to have engineered the downfall of Gordon Brown but his image was far to strong for them to succeed.

Tax tax tax, take it from hard working tax payers give it to single mothers, child trust funds and people who haven't earned it or worked for it or deserve it, and tell the tax payer to work longer because there isn't any money for our pensions, why would I vote for him, tax tax tax.

And some more of your comments!

Given the circumstances that surrounded Gordon Brown's succession to PM and the numerous crises that he had to face within his first few weeks in office, I don't think he has done too badly!

Mind you, Cameron has hardly set the world on fire has he? He needs to get his act together if he is going to make any sustainable impact and come up with some original and workable policies and not just a series of novel ideas.

Female Respondent - South of England

I think the labour party have lost the plot completely, if they put as much effort into running the country as they do running people's lives, Uk would be a better place to live.  Male Respondent - North of England

Tony Blair showed how the honour has gone from politicians. When they are caught in a scandal they use to resign in disgrace - now they cling like limpets to power. Power crazy is not a quality for a good far-seeing politician.

Female Respondent - Outside UK

I am surprised that Tony Blair and his wife have managed to fade into the background with very little accountable comment from political journalists. The situation in Iraq and the Bush/Blair alliance will leave an everlasting ugly impression on British foreign policy and the two dictators that took our two countries to war and sacrificed so many young lives simply to satisfy their craving for power.     Male Respondent - Wales
